Renovate has been running against this repo for months (it opened and merged the Ansible Galaxy role PRs) but has never offered an update for anything under argo/. The Dependency Dashboard (#3) shows why: the only detected managers are ansible-galaxy, docker-compose and renovate-config.

Cause. Renovate's argocd and kubernetes managers ship with an empty managerFilePatterns list and never run until a pattern is set. Neither the shared p2-network/renovate.d:base.json5 preset nor this repo's renovate.json set one. No regex manager is needed: the built-in argocd extractor in the version the operator runs (44.14.9) already handles every form used here, i.e. oci:// repoURL with path: . (immich, ACK, kro, renovate-operator), chart: with a scheme-less OCI repo (wrenix forgejo-runner), and classic Helm repos.

Change.

argocd manager scoped to argo/apps/.
kubernetes manager scoped to argo/ for plain Deployment image tags. It also matches argo/apps/, which is harmless since those files have no image: lines.
Two packageRules so argocd/kubernetes updates get the same dependencies / dependencies-major grouping the base preset gives its dockerfile/docker-compose managers.

Validated with renovate-config-validator from renovate@44.14.9.

What to expect after merge.

Nothing opens until 1 November: the base preset's schedule is the first day of the month (the traefik bump is already sitting under "Awaiting Schedule" on the dashboard). Tick the dashboard checkbox to force one earlier, or override schedule here.
The immich image tag lives inside an inline helm.values string in the Application, which no built-in manager reads; that one would need a custom manager if we want it bumped independently of the chart.
simpleplayer-svc is on a bare main tag and will get a digest-pin PR from the existing rule. The sha-tagged own images stay unordered, as that rule already notes.
The two vendored cert-manager.yaml renders will produce image-bump PRs that only rewrite rendered YAML.

Renovate has been running against this repo for months but never
touched anything under argo/: the Dependency Dashboard only ever
listed ansible-galaxy, docker-compose and renovate-config. Both the
argocd and kubernetes managers ship with an empty managerFilePatterns
list and do nothing until a pattern is set, and neither the shared
p2-network base preset nor this file set one.

Point argocd at argo/apps/ (the Application manifests: OCI charts with
and without a chart: field, plus the wrenix scheme-less OCI repo are
all handled by the built-in extractor) and kubernetes at all of argo/
for the plain Deployment image tags. Group argocd/kubernetes updates
the same way the base preset groups its dockerfile/docker-compose ones.
